How would I describe the series?

Okay, updated my books page to include the information for Under Empty Stars as well as the information for when Ancient Scars is releasing, and the other novels. Still have to make a cover for the short story I finished as well as a page, and finish typing up the story – tentative title for that one is Bittersweet Reality. Also the other shorts I have waiting. The River and the Into the Midst compilation. Also updated my sidebar for the blog finally. Been the same format for a while so it needed one.

(Sidenote: arch of my right foot is itching like crazy so I’m scooching around in the chair trying to itch it through my boot – not easy! haha)

I was thinking about something just a bit ago too. What is the best way to describe The Guardian of Life series for those who haven’t seen me talking about it? The best way to describe The Guardian of Life series is a bit Mother Earth meets Mad Max meets Dune meets Total Recall meets dare I have the audacity to put it in the same category Star Wars. Only because those are the stories I grew up with and probably played an influential role in this. I did end up writing

Word count I started the day with: 5,674

Word count I ended the day with: 7,290

Total for the day: 1,616 words

FIRST LOVE When I first saw the topic for this week's GBE2, my first thought was of the friendship I walked away from just last week. He was one of my first love's. But I had already talked about it on a previous web post so I wanted something different. I just didn't want to focus on it. Today, while I was doing dishes, a.k.a inspiring myself, I thought of a different first love. To myself. I do too. I love myself. I may not always like myself... I mean come on, if you had to live with her 24/7 she might drive you batty too. But I do love myself. People can tell you so. I don't need to. Well I did, but... I'm digressing. I'm quirky, crazy (two different things there obbb...

Silent relaxing sunday--wait it's Saturday. A day lost and found! :)

This week's   GBE   is about "Lost and Found." I know a lot of people some years back thought that I'd lost myself. I was even told it was the better part of myself. It took me years to figure out that it wasn't true. Somewhere in the back of my mind, I always believed it to be true. Until I finally had the courage to admit to myself, that they were in the wrong; not me.  That's the problem with some "friends." They aren't really your friends. Someone recently told me something that really hit home. It was profound even.  She said:  "The friend is not a friend. just a person with emotional gravity in your life."    Well that's true. Granted, the comment she had made was from a completely different happening, but still it works.  A lot of people are fortunate in having tons of close friends, even close friends that stick around their entire lifetime. I gave up on that notion a long time ago. I realized that mostly, friends w...
