Almost done! Nearing the end #amwriting #fantasy

Royal Blood - Book Two - KennedyWorking on Sylphline Realm – Royal Blood this week.

I’m near the end of this book and can’t even begin to say how happy that makes me. It’s not that I’m tired of it, just that I always love finishing a book! Makes me want to do a little happy dance. Super fun. Feeling pretty damn good.

Then I can start a new book. :D

Didn’t see the ending coming that’s in this book and that I’m headed toward. Gotta admit, it’s like fshewy.

Was a bit busy this morning. After writing, I went to get the mower started and the darn mower wanted to be a pain in the butt. It didn’t help that the lever for the self-propelled function broke when I went to start it. Our mower is really heavy so at times I do like to use it when going up a little hill, through the really thick moss that’s in the front lawn, and things like that. I don’t always use it, but do need it, so I have to get that replaced soon. Twenty dollars just for that. Sheesh.

I apologize to all neighbors who received the blasts of smoke as the engine started, coughed, then died three times! lol I kept sweet talking it and everything. Come on, come on, come on. The one pull mower refused to cooperate so it took more like twenty pulls, some cussing, and some baby talk to get it going. First time since last Summer that it was used.

Then just after I finished the lawn, I took apart the housing where the lever was to see what was broken. And about that time we had a boy come over from a roofing company she talked to. The owner offered to temporary fix the roof above my mom’s room because there is a leak that comes all the way through when it rains. He went up there and placed some roof tarp over the shingles I think. Since I can’t climb up there, I don’t know for sure. It was all done for free. We were in desperation mode with that so that is a company that I have to say is amazing. If you live in the area they serve, this is a highly recommended company – Mountain Goat Roofing

They did the neighbor’s roof and I have never seen a roof that looked beautiful, but that one does. There are a few details that the company put down on the roof that makes it look really nice.

Been having a few tough days, so having things like this, and chatting with a few friends the past few days have really helped me get my mood back up there. I think a lot of stress started to weigh on me. Dealing with the roof, not having the money to fix it, having so many things to accomplish every day by myself, and then it all just compiled. I also have a friend that I’m worried over. He and I hadn’t talked in a long time and I discovered he screwed up again and got himself in trouble with the law. He’s not my responsibility, but it doesn’t stop me from caring and being concerned for him. We’ve been friends for a long time and I’ve been realizing some things that I overlooked back then. He got me through the worst part of my life and gave me support that I’ve never known in my life, as well as he’d just been kind when I needed someone to be. Had myself a good cry the other night and then asked for guidance from whoever was listening. I still don’t know if I believe in God, but I know that there is something out there and when we put out intentions or thoughts, we’ll receive help. Maybe it’s just a compilation of energy from all of us together. I’m open to anything.

Word count I started the day with: 74,084

Worked from 10:50 AM – 11:15 AM. Ended the day at: 75,986.

Goal for this book is around 90K. Looking like it’ll probably be in the 80’s range. We’ll see. I usually put a lot in during editing so I’m fine with it being less than planned.

Total for the day: 1902 words

Ladies and Gentlemen….

Normally, right about now, I would feel inclined to continue with “and children of all ages” (guess I’ve been to the circus just one time too many) but this time instead of introducing some dancing bears or the Flying Wallendas, I’m simply here to introduce myself. My name is Tracie Dee . I’ve been writing for about 4 years now and got my start blogging on MySpace. I love writing but these days, I’m also finding enjoyment with vlogging. I have found that videos are a nice way to share what words alone might not give justice to and also for people to really get to know the person behind the words and the keyboard. Overall, I consider myself to be a pretty down to earth and upbeat person, whose sense of humor can be a bit wacky at times. Hey, life can be rough and sometimes laughter and levity can be our only saving grace to help us get through it all. I consider it to be our very own little light at the end of the tunnel that serves to remind us that even during the very worst

Silent relaxing sunday--wait it's Saturday. A day lost and found! :)

This week's   GBE   is about "Lost and Found." I know a lot of people some years back thought that I'd lost myself. I was even told it was the better part of myself. It took me years to figure out that it wasn't true. Somewhere in the back of my mind, I always believed it to be true. Until I finally had the courage to admit to myself, that they were in the wrong; not me.  That's the problem with some "friends." They aren't really your friends. Someone recently told me something that really hit home. It was profound even.  She said:  "The friend is not a friend. just a person with emotional gravity in your life."    Well that's true. Granted, the comment she had made was from a completely different happening, but still it works.  A lot of people are fortunate in having tons of close friends, even close friends that stick around their entire lifetime. I gave up on that notion a long time ago. I realized that mostly, friends w

"Its never too late to be what you might have been" – George Eliot I’ve been a late bloomer in pretty much every aspect of my life. Some of it was out of my control (I mean I really couldn’t help if Mother Nature has a twisted sense of humor and exercised it heavily on me during my teens and twenties) but I can’t put all of the blame for it on her, either. Some of it was also by my personal choice. And by that, I mean I used to be very shy and afraid of “what was out there” in the big, scary world so I would rarely try anything new or took any chances of any kind. I chose instead to do my best to hide away from life, tucking myself away from it safely like a tight little rosebud that had not yet bloomed. But there is a quote that says “And the time came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.” This was the case for me. As time went on, my rosebud shell grew more and more uncomfortable for me. So one day I just took a c
