Question of the Day:
If you had to volunteer your time to help ONE charity, which would you choose, and why?

Ha how strange I was just discussing this with my other half about going out on Monday & 'hitting' all the charity shops in our area to volunteer in. I need a stucture to be doing something for a couple of days a week & also knowing you are helping a charity. If there was a PDSA or Cats Protection League then i'd volunteer for them in a heartbeat, as what they do to help animals is amazing & they can only continue their work through donations.
ReplyDeleteGreat question!
Great answer. Thanks Pixie!
DeleteI think it would be the Diabetes Association because I'd like to help to find a real cure for the disease. My little brother's been living with it for years and he's starting to develop early stages of neuropathy. Not sure how to spell that. I chat too much sometimes. LOL

That would be a good one. My mom has it so I totally understand.
DeleteThanks!
I would do something close to home--so Gahanna Residents in Need (GRIN) Helping families in my town with lots of things from food items, clothing, Thanksgiving and Christmas support. While probably not well known to others across the globe, I would want to start with volunteering locally before moving on to a more state-wide or country-wide charity. And yes I do volunteer for various projects with them throughout the year.

DeleteA very tough question. I guess I would go with something that provided food for people living in poverty and I choose that because I can't handle the thought of people in America - including 14 million children - going hungry every day.
ReplyDeleteVery good point. Thanks Michael!
