Just heard this song and it’s a little too perfect to describe the thoughts and actions that constantly go through Mila and Alex’s mind in Witness to the Moon (second in the Enchanting the Moon Series after Don’t Go Far). They both have their reasons for not going through with what they want, but at the same time, it’s getting to the point where they can’t deny what’s happening and where it’s going. I think they are coming to accept that and just letting everything else grow around it.
No matter what is going on, Alex has been sticking by her side, and she’s been allowing him in. It’s an interesting love that is forming. Unlike normal where on both sides, they think they need to prove themselves to one another, and win the other over, these two are going through a different circumstance. Nothing about their circumstance or love is “normal.” Neither of them have to prove themselves or win the other and they automatically sense that. Which in reality is completely true because they proved themselves to one another a long time ago and I think Mila knows that deep down in her heart though she doesn’t consciously know Alex and who he really is right now as I write the book.
