Well, I won't go into my real life dramatics because I have many stories, so I will give you a fictional one. I am a sucker for romance but stick with horror so I don't have to feel that mushy gushy crap. LOL. I love and always will love The Phantom of The Opera...And I'm talking 1925 version.

The mysterious man that teaches her to sing. How a man from her childhood is in love with her and how she's torn between the dark and the light. You feel bad for the Phantom even though he's done some bad things anyway. In the end, you kind of don't want her really choosing either...
DeleteI was thinking the same - while my own story may be somewhat fascinating to me at times... never mind :) I really enjoyed reading White Tiger by Aravind Adiga. I knew as I was reading it that he did not exaggerate and that his story was based on facts and woven into a story. It is current still as when you make that call to service your appliance or your computer or or or - the connection ends up in India. How on earth did India catapult itself into 2012? and now as I recently went furniture shopping I found the 'ruins' of India - all that HISTORY sitting in my favorite store and thought - what the hell have they done with their beautiful artifacts and heritage? At what point will they wake up and decide that the loss has not balanced with their gain. sorry to get so serious her as it was a really good book - but what meaning does it have without a really good rant?
